Ludwigia palustris ‘Super Red’ – Red Aquatic Stem Plant

Ludwigia palustris ‘Super Red’ is a beautiful red aquatic stem plant, ideal for adding vibrant colour to planted aquariums and aquascapes. Known for its intense red foliage, this relatively small Ludwigia can develop a striking appearance even under medium lighting conditions, making it an attractive choice for aquascaping enthusiasts in Sri Lanka.

This aquarium plant branches readily, allowing it to grow into a fuller, bushier group with regular trimming and maintenance. It is relatively undemanding compared with many other red aquatic plants, making it a suitable option for hobbyists who want to introduce bold red colours into their planted tanks.

Ludwigia ‘Super Red’ is particularly effective as a midground or background plant, depending on aquarium size and trimming preferences. Its vibrant foliage creates an attractive contrast with green aquatic plants and helps bring depth and visual interest to a planted aquarium.

Please note that Ludwigia palustris ‘Super Red’ has been sold under several different names, including Ludwigia Super Red. It should not be confused with Ludwigia ‘Rubin’, which typically develops larger leaves.
