Key Features of Anubias Coffeefolia

• Distinctive Leaves: Features textured, wavy leaves that create an attractive appearance in freshwater aquariums.
• Easy to Maintain: A hardy, slow-growing aquatic plant suitable for beginners and experienced aquascapers.
• Flexible Placement: Can grow fully submerged in aquariums or emersed in suitable terrarium setups.
• Low to Medium Lighting: Prefers low to moderate light conditions to help reduce unwanted algae growth on its leaves.
• Ideal for Hardscapes: Grows well when attached to driftwood, rocks, and other aquarium decorations.
• Simple Propagation: Can be propagated by dividing its rhizome into sections with healthy roots and leaves.

Care Guide

Anubias Coffeefolia grows best when its rhizome is attached to driftwood or rocks using aquarium-safe thread or suitable aquarium glue. Avoid burying the rhizome in the substrate, as this can cause it to rot.

This aquatic plant prefers low to medium lighting and benefits from regular aquarium plant fertilisation. Additional CO₂ is not essential, making it suitable for low-tech planted tanks, although CO₂ supplementation may support improved growth under appropriate conditions.

Because Anubias Coffeefolia grows slowly, excessive lighting can encourage algae to develop on its leaves. Maintaining balanced lighting and good aquarium water quality helps keep the plant healthy and attractive.
